My name is İdil and I’m a sophomore high school student from Turkey. I study in Inanc High School.  My interests are mainly physics and music, and I’m passionate about these subjects. In my free time, I play clarinet, participate in EYP sessions, learn programming, and listen music. In addition, I’m also aspired about the environment and I try to raise awareness through social media, I have an Instagram account named @love.our.environment !

My name is Priscilla Omonira, a current senior at Dubiski Career High School, in the health science pathway. With a profound enthusiasm for biology, chemistry, and the medical field, I constantly try to expand my knowledge. My current focus revolves around the exploration of microgravity and the effects of microgravity on the nervous system and neurological development. Through my high school years I have  acquired knowledge and skills that will enable me to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry. Hey! I am a 16-year-old high school student from Hong Kong. I am a "neuro-guy", meaning I love neuroscience and that I am particularly interested in protein-aggregated/ prion diseases: for instance, the use of cryo-em to characterize protein aggregates, or mouse models to test for the efficacy of vagus nerve stimulation in improving memory. I also love interpreting brain scans, which provide extensive information like tumours, cysts, edema, etc. Feel free to reach out if you love biology in general!

Paula is a young Ecuadorian student, writer, and researcher. Her preferred fields of study include molecular biology, ecology, genetics, and biological psychology. She is currently coursing her second year of the IB curriculum and plans to build a career in biotechnology.

Hi, I'm Varsan Jeyakkumar. I am a grade 11 high school student in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have always been a STEM person, whether academically or just my interests. When I started programming in grade 7, I was extremely fascinated by the topic. I have benefitted so much from learning how to code. My article explores the benefits of teaching elementary-aged students how to program.
